The Undergraduate Orientation Programme for the 1st BDS students of the 2024-2025 batch was held on 14th October 2024 at 9:30 AM in the college auditorium. This event marked the official welcome and initiation of the new students into the dental college, providing them with essential guidance and information about their academic journey.

Programme Highlights:

  • Master of Ceremony: Miss Mehal Angane
  • Invocation Song: Sung by Miss Vaishnavi and Dr. Nandita

Welcome Address:

Dr. Ramakant Nayak, Principal of the College, delivered the welcome address, providing an insightful overview of the college. He covered the following key points:

  • The rich history, core values, and achievements of the institution.
  • Overview of the college’s facilities, including the Animal House and Research Center.
  • Introduction to the Clinic Management System (CMS) and patient management software, emphasizing their role in streamlining administrative processes and enhancing the learning experience.
  • Current achievements under the leadership of the President, highlighting the vision and support that have contributed to the institution’s prestige.
  • Technological advancements adopted by the college, including future plans to integrate special technical microscopes and advanced equipment in the research center to enhance dental training and research.
  • Continuous efforts to advance with modern technology and research capabilities.

Academic Orientation:

Dr. Veerendra Uppin, Academic Incharge, provided a detailed orientation to the BDS course, including:

  • A year-wise breakdown of the subjects that the students would study from the first year to the final year.
  • Clear expectations for academic structure and milestones in the BDS programme.

Rules and Regulations:

Dr. Pushpa P., Administrative Incharge, discussed the college’s rules and regulations, focusing on:

  • The importance of adhering to these guidelines to maintain discipline and order on campus.

Examination Overview:

Dr. Sujata Byahatti, Member of the Examination Committee, delivered a session on the examination procedures, including:

Anti-Ragging Measures:

Dr. Tushar Bandiwadekar discussed the anti-ragging measures taken by the institution, reassuring students that:
