COVID – 19 Guidelines for hostel students

All the Hostelites are hereby informed to obey the following Guidelines issued by governing council of Maratha Mandal’s Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre in line with Government of India in view of COVID – 19 Pandemic:

1. Not to allow other residents and local students into the room / hostel.
2. Cleaning of Room will be done every day.
3. Spitting, throwing wastes, garbage’s in the room and campus is strictly prohibited. All garbage to be discarded in designated area only.
4. Washing hands, Social distancing, wearing face masks and other hygiene procedures /COVID appropriate behavior should be practiced mandatorily by all the residents of the hostel.
5. Maintain adequate social distance and follow queue system in Mess.
6. Every student needs to confine themselves to their allotted room and not to venture into others room and are not allowed to roam around the college Campus unnecessarily.
7. Any symptoms of ill health, immediately contact the hostel authorities.
8. Consult the Doctor in case of health emergencies, ambulance will be arranged by the institute to shift to hospital.
9. Out of state students/students coming from containment/sealed down areas need to isolate themselves for 5days in isolation rooms provided by the Institute and produce RT-PCR negative report to enter their respective room for stay.
10. For Such students in isolation, food will be provided within the allotted hostel premises and these students will not be allowed into mess and other hostel premises. These students need to strictly confine themselves to their allotted room
11. Students will not be allowed to leave the college / hostel campus as long as they intend to stay for academic purpose
12. Outside food is not allowed into the college campus, food provided by the hostel authorities only need to be consumed in the designated mess area
13. Body temperature will be monitored frequently
14. As much as possible students are informed not to visited crowded areas, like market, restaurants and social gatherings.

Isolation details:

10 single rooms with attached bathroom are provided for girl students residing at hostel as COVID isolation room for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic students

2 rooms are also kept in guest house and also 2 flats at staff quarters for isolation of COVID positive students

Note: Any student not following the above rules and regulation will be debarred from the hostel.
